Hans-Dieter Zucht

I earned my Diploma in Biochemistry in Hannover in 1991 and my PhD in 1994 under Prof. Forssmann, working on bioactive peptides at the Fraunhofer Institute and the Lower Saxony Institute of Peptide Research. I later had the privilege of serving as a visiting professor at Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg. Since then, I have published more than 50 papers, contributed to numerous EU grants as both a consortium member and reviewer, and generated several patents along the way.

Background & Career

I helped shape the emerging field of peptidomics at the biotech startup BioVisioN, combining mass spectrometry with data science. From 2008, I led Proteomics Operations at Proteome Sciences in Frankfurt.In 2013, I joined Protagen Diagnostics, specializing in autoantibody multiplexing with Luminex xMAP technology. After the company was acquired by Oncimmune in 2019, I continued as CTO, driving innovation across our expanded operations - today Alden Scientific Immune GmbH.Throughout my career, I've taken on multiple leadership roles -including Head of Bioinformatics, CTO, and Head of Technology -always energized by solving complex problems with fresh perspectives and innovative strategies.Let's connect and exchange ideas -I'd love to hear your thoughts.
